Northwest Wax was started in 2018 by Tori Gledhill, who went out on her own after many years working for a waxing chain. The studio is in suite 102 at Cedar + Sage Studios on SW Allen Blvd in Beaverton, and the business describes its treatment room as cozy.

Services are by appointment only and are booked online through the booking page. Regular hours are Tuesday 9am to 2pm, Wednesday and Thursday 1pm to 7pm, and Friday 9am to 5pm. Saturday visits can be requested, and other days or times may be possible by contacting the studio by email or phone. Package deals are sent by email and posted on Instagram and Facebook.

The studio works only with hard wax, which the business says is much less painful than traditional strip wax and suits sensitive skin. Brazilian waxing is the specialty, and bikini services range from a bikini line up to a full Brazilian. A few services have limits: leg waxing is open only to existing clients, and services that include the butt are offered for female anatomy only at this time, so full butt and butt strip services are not available to male clients.

Hard wax is used for every service, which the business says is gentler than strip wax and good for sensitive skin.
