Nilou MedSpa opened in 2016 in Arlington and describes itself as women-owned and family-operated. The business says each treatment is built around the individual client's skin rather than a generic routine.

About

Appointments are required for every visit. Guests can reserve online, selecting either Niloufar or Nadia and a preferred time. About 72 hours before the booking, a text message arrives asking the client to confirm. To reschedule or cancel, call or text the front desk. Hours run Monday through Friday, 10am to 7pm, and Saturday, 10am to 3pm; the spa stays closed on Sundays. Parking is free and located behind the building. To get in, use the green door labeled Lobby, then climb the stairs or ride the elevator up to the second floor.

Facials are offered in standard 60-minute versions, including dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, microcurrent and extraction, and in 90-minute deluxe versions with add-ons chosen for each client's skin needs. Specialty facials include Hydrafacial and Extraction Hydrafacial, Hydroglow with hyaluronic acid serums, an acne-focused facial, a teenager acne facial, an oxygen infusion facial, and a customized Ultimate Facial. The business recommends facials every 4 to 6 weeks. Device and needling treatments include radiofrequency skin tightening, microneedling with mesotherapy, microchanneling, HIFU and IPL, plus 24k gold anti-aging options. IPL is not recommended for darker skin tones because of the added risk of burns and pigmentation changes, so clients with darker skin are asked to contact the spa before booking.

Chemical peels include Vi Peel and Perfect Derma Peel for the face, and Vi Peel for the chest, underarms and back. A basic light peel is also offered for the face and back. The face peels involve a peel process of about a week, with results visible once it is complete.

Laser hair removal is priced per session or in packages of 3 or 6 sessions, and most clients need roughly 6 to 8 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on hair color, hair type and area. Clients are advised to avoid sun exposure, tanning and waxing for at least six weeks beforehand. Waxing results typically last 3 to 6 weeks. Threading, eyebrow and eyelash tinting, eyebrow lamination and eyelash lifts are also offered.

A membership gives one treatment per month across four tiers. Memberships are billed monthly with a 6-month minimum and no upfront payment, and members can pause for $10 a month during travel or other periods of non-use. Unused services do not carry over, and members can choose a higher-tier service by paying the difference. The spa also runs Monthly Specials on rotating services, open to new and existing clients, which can be booked in advance within the same calendar month.

The spa builds each treatment around the individual client's skin and pairs medical-grade treatments with personalized plans.
