Nice Locs

Nice Locs is a salon in Atlanta that focuses only on the care, maintenance and styling of locs. Founder Anise Reynolds leads the business, and the work centers on loc health over the long term. The salon is open seven days a week from 10 am to 6 pm, with entry at Suite 402 of 1820 Peachtree Rd NW.

Visits begin with booking through the salon's online calendar. That consultation includes State Board-required questions, which are kept confidential. Repairs, color, extensions, microloc work and significant corrections also call for a consultation first.

Clients are asked to arrive with unwashed hair that has no previous styling, since the salon cleanses and moisturizes during the service. Pricing reflects loc count, hair length, density, new growth, overall condition and how complex the work is. Final payment is due when the service is finished. Refunds are not offered, but if a client is unhappy, they can contact the salon within seven business days and the hair will be corrected at no extra charge.

Timing is firm: a 15-minute grace period applies to late arrivals, and later arrivals may be shortened, rescheduled or charged additional fees. Same-day cancellations are treated as late cancellations. Guests are not allowed unless approved in advance, with exceptions for parents or guardians of minor clients, approved caregivers and approved disability accommodations. The suite has handicap access, though its accessible space is smaller than the main suites. Free Wi-Fi is available, and parking is free in the on-site deck, where guests sign in every three hours using their license plate. Vehicles are parked at the guest's own risk.

Low-manipulation techniques, proper maintenance methods and individualized care plans guide the work, with the aim of preserving loc health, sharing education and aftercare guidance, and tailoring each service to the client.
