About

NexDerm Clinic was founded and is run by Lauren Riley, a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, and she is the practice's sole provider. The practice brings medical, aesthetic, and integrative dermatology together, and integrative care here means evidence-based dermatology with broader context rather than a replacement for conventional treatment.

Medical and aesthetic concerns can often be addressed in a single visit with one provider, and billing for each part is handled and explained separately. Every aesthetic plan begins with a consultation, which is needed to decide whether a treatment is appropriate. Pricing is not published as a menu; costs are discussed at the consultation or when booking, and the price of a recommended plan is shared before a patient decides.

Medical dermatology covers skin cancer screening with total-body skin examinations and dermoscopy, biopsies in the office, and removal of cysts and skin tags where indicated. Suspicious lesions that need specialty excision are referred to Mohs surgeons. Care also includes acute rashes and infections, chronic conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and melasma, hair loss, scalp conditions, and nail disorders. Pediatric dermatology sees children and families, and families can be seen together. Teledermatology may be offered for some concerns and follow-ups, and the office advises when an in-person visit is needed.

Aesthetic work includes CoolPeel, a superficial CO2 laser treatment with minimal downtime, and deeper resurfacing on the same Tetra PRO laser for more advanced concerns, with a longer recovery. The practice describes CoolPeel as award-winning. Laser treatment can be used on the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and other areas, as well as specific scars and stretch marks, and a numbing cream may be used for comfort. Other options include microneedling, chemical peels matched to skin type, neuromodulators for expression lines, fillers, and hair restoration that starts with diagnosis.

NexDerm takes Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Oscar and UnitedHealthcare, though coverage depends on the specific plan, network, eligibility and medical necessity. Medicaid plans are not accepted. Medical visits are generally billed to insurance, whereas aesthetic treatments are not covered. Before a visit, the front desk can help check what benefits apply. To book, use Klara (no account is needed) or call or text (732) 838-3376. Intake forms arrive digitally ahead of the visit. The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, plus one Saturday a month, and other times are arranged on request. The website and contact form are not monitored for emergencies, so anyone facing a medical emergency should dial 911. Off-street parking is available at the office.

Medical, aesthetic, and integrative dermatology are discussed in one conversation with one provider. Treatments are selected for safety, evidence, and realistic benefit, and the practice is selective about what it offers.
