A visit starts with a complimentary consultation, which can be requested by phone or through the contact form. Services are by appointment only, and walk-ins are not accepted. Sessions run from about 15 minutes to more than an hour, depending on the area. Because hair grows in cycles, more than one appointment is usually needed, and coarse or deep hairs may take additional treatments. Clients may feel a brief sting, and tolerance varies from person to person. Cost depends on how much hair is removed, the size of the area and the provider, so clients contact the office for pricing.
Before an appointment, clients are asked not to pluck, wax, thread or tweeze, since only hairs that are visible on the surface can be treated. Shaving between treatments is fine. Cancellations need 24 hours notice. Clients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Venmo, checks and cash are accepted, but credit cards are not.
Electrolysis can be done during pregnancy on normal skin, and the practice advises checking with a physician first. Moles can be treated where licensing rules allow, and the electrologist may ask for written physician approval.
The electrologist chooses the method for each client from galvanic, shortwave thermolysis and blend, and the practice uses disposable needles and says it follows CDC guidelines.
