New Level Aesthetics was founded by Corey Curtis in Charlotte, North Carolina, and focuses on scalp micropigmentation. The clinic describes itself as the premier SMP clinic in Charlotte and as a leading center for the procedure in the Southeast; these are the clinic's own descriptions. It welcomes clients from North Carolina and from neighboring states across the region.
SMP uses very fine needles to place pigment that imitates hair follicles in areas where hair is thin, receding or patchy. The process is non-surgical and is described as similar to tattoo work. Pigment is matched to each client's natural hair color and skin tone, and treatment is usually spread across several sessions. The clinic presents SMP as less invasive than a hair transplant and generally less costly, and says side effects are minimal beyond possible redness right after treatment. It also says its techniques are designed to prevent pigment bleeding.
Before treatment, clients have a consultation to talk through their concerns and what they hope to achieve. Plans are shaped around each client's situation and goals rather than a single standard approach. Services cover men, women, and clients with alopecia or scars from surgery, burns, accidents, or earlier hair restoration work. The clinic also repairs SMP done elsewhere, correcting fading, discoloration or uneven results through color matching, pigment adjustment and blending, and it notes that repair often takes several sessions.
The clinic runs a beginners SMP training program for people starting out as artists. The curriculum covers equipment, pigment selection, needle depth, client consultation, hairline design and aftercare, along with business management skills and follow-up mentorship. The program lists certification in scalp micropigmentation as an outcome. Training requires a non-refundable $500 deposit to hold a spot, with the $3,000 balance due in full seven days before class begins. Payment can be made by card through Square, or by Zelle or Cash App. Cancellations or reschedules need at least seven days' notice; a deposit can be moved to a later date when enough notice is given and space is available.
Treatment is built around each client's situation and goals, with a consultation offered before any work begins. The clinic presents SMP as a less invasive and generally lower-cost option than hair transplants.
