NEVA Face & Body is a skincare and spa business on East Dewey Place in San Antonio, in the Tobin Hill Historic neighborhood within walking distance of the Historic Pearl. The entrance faces Kendall Street on a side street. Owner Neva Fernandez, a licensed esthetician, opened the spa in 2009.

A visit usually starts with a free 15-minute skin consultation with a licensed aesthetician, which can be booked with any facial, to talk through a treatment plan. The facial menu is grouped by concern: acne and oily-skin treatments such as the Gentle Salicylic Facial, the DETOX Deep Pore Facial and the Blemish Control Oxygen Facial, which the salon recommends for inflamed acne and not for sensitive skin, vascular weakness or rosacea. Anti-aging and brightening options include the NEVA Anti-Age Luxe Facial, pigment-correcting treatments and retinol peels. Dermaplaning, microdermabrasion and chemical peels are offered too. The spa recommends facials about once a month for most skin types and as often as every two weeks for some, and suggests a series for microdermabrasion and peels. Products are PCA SKIN professional treatments and daily care, which the salon describes as pharmaceutical-grade and clinically tested.

Beyond facials, the spa offers brow lamination, brow and lash tints, lash lifts, classic and hybrid eyelash extensions with master and junior technicians, and waxing for the face, brows, arms, legs, underarms, bikini, back and shoulders. Prenatal treatments include the Yummy Tummy maternity treatment and a Momease oxygenating facial for pregnant and lactating clients. Memberships, packages and gift cards are available. Memberships include the N-Group, Teen N-Group and L-Group programs, and online booking is available.

The spa also teaches and consults. It offers online TDLR continuing education courses for Texas licensed estheticians and cosmetologists, and consulting for new or existing spa and salon businesses. The salon says it has been recognized locally and nationally by Spa Week, Spa Finder, LUXE Magazine and Expertise.com. It is open Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am to 6:30pm, Friday 1pm to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10am to 5pm, and is closed Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. The phone line, (210) 734-6382, takes calls only, not texts.

Focuses on problematic skin with a consultation first, then facials at a regular pace, with peels and microdermabrasion built into a series.
