In person, the stylist checks the hair and scalp, matches extensions and color, and recommends a style, and no hair service is performed. Consultations are required before some services, including braid take down, loc repair and several twist styles. Hair is included for most braids in natural colors #1, #1B, #2 and #4. Other colors, curly hair for boho styles and the curly hair for Miracle Knots braids are supplied by the client. Clients should arrive with clean, detangled hair for sew-ins and freestyle or straight-back cornrows, or add a wash service first.

Appointments are booked online through Booksy, by phone or by contacting the studio directly, and walk-ins are welcome depending on stylist availability. The studio is open Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. A non-refundable $40 deposit secures appointments and is applied to the balance, and cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice. Accepted payments include major cards, cash, Zelle and Apple Pay. Kids' appointments are paced for children, use comfortable styling chairs and include snacks and drinks, though extra time caused by excessive movement may carry additional fees.

The studio runs Braids & Blessings, a community initiative offering free braid services for children every other Sunday to families who may benefit, with limited appointments. Schools, guidance counselors, social workers and community organizations can refer families, and the program works with schools, hospitals, churches, nonprofits and community groups. The monthly Heroes Edition gives one free braid service to a nominated community member, such as a healthcare worker, teacher, first responder or caregiver.

Uses low-tension braiding methods meant to protect hair health, with healthy hair as the first priority and a style the client will enjoy wearing as the next.
