NAILSXRACHEL is based in a loft suite at Birkdale Commons Parkway in Huntersville. Gel work is the core of the menu: gel extensions built with Gel-X, gel overlays over natural nails in hard gel, builder gel or polygel, gel polish manicures and gel pedicures, along with removal of an older set and repair of a broken or chipped nail.

Bookings are made through the studio's Glossgenius page. New clients are welcome, and new-client pricing starts at $40 for Gel-X and for gel overlays, with 20% off the first of those services. A new-client deluxe gel pedicure starts at $44. For new clients, Gel-X lengths are limited to extra short, short or medium.

Nail art is priced in three tiers. Before booking, clients send an inspiration photo by Instagram DM or by email so the design can be matched to a tier. Tier 1 covers french tips, ombre, chrome, aura and simple designs on up to three nails. Tier 2 adds simple designs on every finger, detailed designs on up to three fingers, simple 3-D, lined french tips, french tips with chrome and simple gems. Tier 3 covers mix-and-match sets and gems or charms on each nail.

Hours are Monday through Thursday from 5:30 PM to 9 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5:30 PM; the studio is closed on Fridays. Cancellations within 24 hours must be communicated directly and may be charged. One cancellation is waived as a courtesy when it is communicated ahead of the appointment time. After that, late cancellations are charged 20% of the booked price to the card on file, and no-call no-shows are charged 50%. Clients without a card on file are invoiced and cannot book again until the invoice is paid. Removal must be booked when another nail tech's set is still on, but it is not needed after gel overlay or gel polish done by Rachel.
