My Beauty Place is run by its owner and founder, Jenifer, and combines a client studio with an academy. The studio describes itself as Maryland's leading permanent makeup and lash extensions studio and academy.

Brow and lip work includes Nano brows, a hair-stroke technique done with a nano needle and a wireless machine instead of a blade, along with lip blush for a subtle, natural look and lipstick for a bolder, more defined lip. Brow and lip procedures run about 3 to 3.5 hours, starting with consultation and mapping and ending with an aftercare explanation. A topical numbing cream is applied before and during both brow and lip procedures. Style and technique are picked on the day, based on the result wanted, skin type and lifestyle. The academy offers a 3-day Master Lash course covering classic, hybrid, volume and wet techniques, with tuition listed at $2,200 and a deposit to sign up; tuition includes a detailed manual, certifications, a full kit for 20 to 25 clients and 30 days of extra support. A 3-day Lip Blush course covers four techniques and three lip styles with a live model, listed at $1,900 with a $300 deposit. The 120-hour Eyebrow Master Course covers four techniques and five eyebrow styles, listed at $5,000 with a $1,000 minimum deposit and weekly payments allowed; it includes a kit for 30 clients, discounts on brow services and products, and one year of continued support. A 5-day Eyebrow Micropigmentation course covers five styles and four techniques, and includes a student manual, starter kit, latex practice skin, live models and certification. Payment is accepted by cash or Zelle, with card processing available for a small fee. Booking deposits are non-refundable. Appointments can be rescheduled with 48 hours notice and the deposit transferred; later reschedules require paying the non-refundable deposit again. Cancellations need 72 hours notice to be refunded, and no-shows or arrivals more than 15 minutes late incur a 60% non-refundable fee.

Each brow and lip appointment is planned around the result the client wants, their skin type and daily lifestyle, with the style and technique settled on the day.
