About

MVK was founded in 2013 by Victoria Kolodiy, who serves as the company's ideologist and creative director. The company describes itself as the first gender-neutral nail studio network in Ukraine and says it operates four salons in Europe, with expansion planned in Europe and the American market. The homepage calls the founder a celebrity nail artist and a member of a creative group that develops global trends for 2021. The company says its press coverage includes British Vogue, Allure, L'Officiel Ukraine, Harper's Bazaar Ukraine, Elle Ukraine and Elle Italia.

The studios are built around the idea that anyone has the right to self-expression, and MVK promotes men's manicures as part of style. Its stated values are customer focus, safety, mastery, innovation, quality, service, relationships, expectations and stability, with details treated as the central principle.

On a visit, Kyiv studios list hours from 9:00 to 21:00 every day, while the Berlin studio is open 9:00 to 21:00 Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Waiting areas have self-service drinks from a bar menu. Clients can book parallel services by choosing one time with different specialists. Design work is not part of the coverage price and is charged extra depending on complexity. Clients receive 10% off all services during the week before and after their birthday.

The academy runs in Kyiv, Vienna and Wroclaw in partnership with the Ukrainian representative of the American brand ORI. The basic course costs 10000 UAH and covers instrument basics, combined and hygienic manicure techniques, sterilisation and safety, with practice on free models in a real studio. Graduates receive an MVK certificate in Ukrainian and English along with teaching materials. An advanced course covers combined techniques and correcting common errors. The academy says graduates can be placed in any studio after the course, with possible relocation, and top graduates may be offered a place on the MVK team. The academy curator is a certified, practising manicurist and a member of the International Judge Association. The academy page cites 12 years of experience in the nail aesthetics business.

Gift certificates are available in EUR, PLN and UAH, in digital or physical form, and can be used for services including spa and comprehensive beauty treatments. They have no expiry date, and any unused balance is credited to a personal account. Clients aged 14 and older may have trimmed manicures and those 18 and older may have gel polish; younger clients may receive services with written parental or guardian consent. Arriving 10 to 25 minutes late allows time for a single-colour coverage only, and arriving 30 to 40 minutes late may mean the specialist declines the full booked service. Same-day cancellation of a next booking forfeits the 100% prepayment required to schedule it. Specialists may refuse service that threatens their health or the client's health, or that is beyond their competence.

MVK also offers franchises. A classic franchise starts at a flat fee of 50000 euros depending on location, a managed franchise has a flat fee from 0 to 50000 euros depending on type, and exclusive territorial rights to use the brand in one city start at 25000 euros depending on country and city.

Described by the company as a philosophy of excellence in which details matter most. Self-expression is open to everyone, and customer focus, safety and mastery are among its stated values.

Waiting areas offer self-service drinks from a bar menu.
