About

Muscle Lab operates a recovery and wellness lounge in Los Angeles. Entrepreneur Andy Treys, who is based in L.A., and fitness expert Vatche Ourishian started the business together. According to the business, guests visit to recover, recharge and mingle, and the company compares the space to a recovery-focused members' club with a Hollywood feel.

A visit can combine several services. Guests might add whole body or localized cryotherapy, an infrared sauna session, compression therapy on Normatec equipment, and a stretch or myofascial release session. Day passes bundle these together: Classic pairs cryotherapy with compression, Heat adds a sauna session, a longer-sauna version is available, and Pro+ adds stretch therapy.

IV drips and vitamin shots are for clients 18 and older, and registered nurses are available seven days a week to administer shots and vitamin therapy. The IV drips are named Revive, Vitality, Recovery, Detox, Immunity, Energy, Cure and Weight Loss, each built from a different mix of B vitamins, vitamin C, zinc, glutathione and other ingredients. Shots can be combined to suit a client's needs, and how often to take them depends on goals and the specific shot. NAD therapy is offered at 100, 250, 500 and 1000 mg doses.

The Pasadena location is on East Colorado Boulevard, a few miles from Glendale, Monrovia, Altadena and Arcadia. The Studio City studio, at 12457 Ventura Boulevard Suite 101, takes in the San Fernando Valley, including Sherman Oaks, Burbank and Toluca Lake. The Woodland Hills studio, at 21720 Ventura Boulevard, covers Calabasas, Tarzana, West Hills and Chatsworth. All three are open Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and on weekends from 10 AM to 6 PM. Phone numbers: Pasadena (626) 469-4434, Studio City (323) 741-6224, Woodland Hills (818) 824-5029. Sessions can be booked online, and memberships, packages and gift cards are available. Cryotherapy is available to ages 13 and up. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian present at the appointment to give consent.

The business describes its approach as integrative, bringing heat, cold, compression, hands-on work and nutritional support into one recovery visit.
