About

The salon has operated from the same Manassas location for fourteen years. It is owned and run by its founder, Gladys Musa, who also works as the main braider and stylist.

Visits are by appointment only. The salon is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm, and it also takes appointments on Sundays. Client comfort decides which methods are used, and the salon aims to be punctual and to finish braiding in the shortest time it can.

Braiding and weaving services include kids braids, cornrows, microbraids, tree braids, pixie and bob braids, and Nubian twists, along with goddess locs, faux locs, Marley twists, Senegalese twists, kinky twists, crochet braids, lemonade braids, and box braids. Sewn-in weaves are offered with a lace closure or a leave-out. For box braids, Senegalese twists, Marley twists and faux locs, the salon provides the hair, and box braids come in a color the client selects. Box braid prices vary according to the size and length of the braids. For sewn-in weaves, clients either bring their own hair or select from the salon's hair collection, and the salon only installs the weave without styling it.

The salon says its braiding techniques protect natural hair and support healthy growth, and that the process avoids pulling and pushing. It also says each of its braiders is a professional with at least ten years of braiding experience.

Braiding is aimed at protecting natural hair and supporting healthy growth, without pulling or pushing. Client comfort comes first and guides the method used.
