MULAN SPA

Mulan Spa started in Ballard in 2010 and later moved to its current Belltown location. The spa says its team averages more than ten years of professional experience.

Massage anchors the menu. Body sessions draw on Swedish and deep tissue methods and can be booked solo or as a pair. Optional extras include heated stone work, aromatherapy, cupping, herbal oil applied under infrared heat, and CBD-based pain relief. Reflexology applies pressure to points on the feet and legs and is one of the spa's signature treatments. The head spa covers a hair wash and a deep scalp cleanse, followed by a massage of the head, neck and shoulders. Drying is included in the booked time.

Facials cover hydration, brightening, clarifying and age renewal. Each one starts with a personalized skin consultation, and select facials include a complimentary hand, foot or scalp massage. The signature Microdermabrasion Glow Facial uses crystal and diamond resurfacing. Manicures and pedicures include shaping, cuticle care and a hand or foot massage.

IV therapy and Botox are available by request only and are given one-on-one by the spa's licensed nurse, Bee, after a personalized consultation.

Massage, spa and nail services are offered daily from 10am to 10pm. Facials are offered Thursday through Monday from 11am to 8:30pm. Appointments are recommended, though walk-ins are welcome based on availability, and clients can request a preferred therapist when booking, subject to availability. Online bookings need a name, a phone number and a preferred time. Appointments should be cancelled or rescheduled at least 3 hours ahead, as late cancellations or no-shows may lead to a temporary booking restriction, and late arrivals may receive a shortened service. Couples and groups are welcome, and larger parties should contact the spa in advance. Gift cards start at $50, can be bought online or as physical cards, and work for all spa services except those given by the nurse. They are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law, and expire 365 days after purchase. The spa accepts major credit and debit cards, cash and other available payment methods, as well as insurance, and offers a $5 discount to guests who pay cash.
