Much Love HairCouple is the successor to Junior & Hatter, the Wynwood salon that Mario Silvestri founded. Lori Diaz and Mario Silvestri now run the Upper East Side salon together, and have worked as a cutting and styling duo since 2009.

The salon is in a light-filled loft on Suite 308 of The Bank Lofts. Guests enter through the main lobby on Biscayne Boulevard and use the call box for the suite. Street parking is metered and available on NE 81st Street and nearby blocks. The salon serves English-speaking clients and is listed as kid friendly. Appointments are unrushed, and the salon describes its approach as centered on craft, consistency and a more personal experience.

Men's services include traditional haircuts with precision and tailored styling, beard trims and shaping done without a razor, hot towel straight razor shaves for the head or face, a monthly beard grooming membership, camo color for men's gray coverage, and a skin-care add-on using PCA products. Women's services cover precision cuts with or without a blow dry, pixie cuts, and corrective haircutting, which addresses uneven cuts and can conceal scalp scarring. Color options range from semi-permanent glazes and foil accents to half and full highlights, single process color, and a monthly color club for clients with substantial gray hair. A complimentary 15-minute color consultation is available, and clients may bring photos of looks they like. Corrective color makeovers are priced after a consultation.

Booking is online through Vagaro. Color services need 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours, and missed appointments, are charged 50% of the service amount. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without notice counts as a no-show. The salon accepts American Express, Discover, Visa, MasterCard, debit cards and cash. Hours are Monday 1 to 7 PM, Tuesday through Friday 11 AM to 7 PM, and Saturday 11 AM to 2 PM, with Sunday closed.

The salon works from a base of craft and consistency, with unrushed appointments and a personal, one-on-one feel.
