The braiding is led by the owner, Ms. P, who has spent decades braiding and styling hair. She trained at Dallas Barber College and Collin College, graduating from Collin College in May 2015, and later returned to Dallas Barber College as an instructor. She has taught other hairstylists, and her work has been featured twice in Sophisticate's Black Hair magazine. Before running the mobile practice, she opened three salon and boutique locations over three years, later closed them, and began working from home.

A first visit usually starts with a consultation, which is strongly advised for anyone getting braids for the first time. A consultation is about 30 minutes and costs $10. Clients should arrive with hair clean and free of product, shampooed and blow-dried or flat-ironed; stitch and cornrow braids and the 2 feed-in braids need flat-ironed hair. Shampooing is an extra charge if it is needed. Deposits are required, are non-refundable and non-transferable, and count toward the total. Cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice, and a no-call, no-show is charged half the price of the booked style. Clients should not take down retouched braids themselves; the stylist does that. Many styles are priced from a photo of the look.

The business says it works with all hair lengths, styles, textures and conditions, and with every size. Booking is by text or phone, or through the booking page, and the stylist travels to the client's location.
