Mouna's Braids is run by its founder and artisan, Mouna, who has spent more than 21 years braiding. The studio works by appointment only, and every session is booked for a single client, so the full appointment stays with one person and is not shared across several clients in a day.

Each visit begins with a consultation about the client's hair texture, hair history and what the hair needs. The consultation is included in the price, and a style is agreed before the date is held with a deposit. Sessions usually run about six to eight hours, so clients should plan for a long appointment.

The studio's signature work is knotless braiding done with a feed-in technique that leaves no knot at the root. Boho knotless braids can be finished with curly accent hair along the body and at the tips. Box braids are made in square sections in shoulder to butt lengths and can be sourced in many colours and ombre blends on request. Goddess locs are built with curly or wavy crochet hair, and kids' braids, cornrows and twists are also offered.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and a deposit already paid may be forfeited if the cancellation comes later. A no-show fee of 50% of the service price applies. The final price is confirmed when booking, and prices may change. The salon may decline service to anyone who is rude to team members or fellow clients. Images captured inside the salon may be used in its promotional material, and clients may ask not to be photographed.

Each appointment is reserved for one client so the braider can give the whole session full attention, rather than splitting time across several clients a day.
