Moth and Mane is a one-stylist practice in a private suite on East Pine Street in Pine Level. Katie Ferguson runs the studio, and the menu spans color, lightening, haircuts, extensions, styling, treatments, brow tinting and waxing.

Options include root blend and color retouch add-ons, gloss, single-process all-over color, lowlights, and custom lightening in mini, partial and full versions. Mini lightening uses 10 to 12 foils, and full custom lightening takes around 230 minutes with a style or around 270 minutes with a haircut. Most color services can be paired with a style or a haircut, while the root blend is add-on only.

Extension services cover removal, tape-in application and tape-in move-ups, and hand-tied move-ups, which are recommended every six to eight weeks. Tape-in applications require a consultation before booking, and some extension and treatment services take a deposit.

Haircuts include bang trims, clipper cuts for short styles, fades and maintenance, a kids haircut for children aged 8 and under, and standard haircuts that include consultation and styling. Blowouts and formal styles for weddings, galas and other events round out the styling menu. Hair treatments include clarifying, deep conditioning, bond building, Olaplex add-ins, Malibu CPR, Amika smoothing and keratin treatments.

Booking policies are worth reading before you schedule. The studio is open Wednesday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 3:30 PM. Cancellations and reschedules need 24 to 48 hours' notice, late cancellations are charged 45% of the service total, and no-shows are charged the full total. Cancellation and no-show fees must be paid before future appointments can be booked. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment.

The studio is run by a single stylist from a private suite, so clients work one-on-one with the same person from start to finish.
