The salon is led by stylist Maddie Jessie and operates in a salon space it shares with Wildwood Hair Co on East Superstition Springs Boulevard. The work is built around each client, with attention to how hair moves, its texture, its color and a relaxed, lived-in finish.

Color is custom-tailored: foil services include toner, and color services include a wash and style. Extra bowls or bottles of color are $10 each. Clients who cut off 10 inches or more of uncolored hair pay only the regular women's or men's cut price, and donated hair can be sent to Hair We Share with help from the Wildwood Hair Co team.

Extensions are hand-tied Invisible Bead Certified Method pieces, customized for each client. Consultation and color match are free. Extension hair is purchased to secure the first install, and with proper care extensions last up to 12 months. Move-ups are needed every eight to ten weeks. The salon describes its hand-tied method as the nation's number one; that is the salon's own claim.

Wedding hair is quoted individually and requested by email to hello@mjhairco.com. It is currently offered only to existing clients, family and friends.

Appointment offers are held for 72 hours before moving to other clients. Cancellations or no-shows within 24 to 48 hours get one first-time grace; after that a card payment form is required and all requested services are charged. Rescheduling works the same way, except that 50% of requested services are charged after the first reschedule. Arriving 15 minutes or more late may change services while keeping the quoted price.

Service is personalized to each client, balancing movement, texture, color and a lived-in look.
