Mizk Brows & SMP

The studio was founded by Kenny and Gretchen, who share the goal of using permanent makeup and scalp micropigmentation to change people's lives. The name MIZK is built from the initials of the founders' children.

The brow menu covers three approaches. Microblade and shade brows combine hand-drawn microblade strokes with machine shading and can be soft or bold, and the studio suggests them for normal to dry skin. Powder brows create a soft, powdery look similar to brow makeup and suit all skin types. Combo brows pair microblade strokes at the front of the brow with powder shading through the rest for added fullness, and the studio suggests them for sparse hair and oily skin. Shades are custom-matched to a wide range of skin tones.

Scalp micropigmentation is a non-surgical treatment that deposits pigment into the scalp to resemble hair follicles. It is offered to women and men for balding or thinning areas, receding hairlines, density fills, and camouflaging scars, including scars from failed hair transplants. The hairline is mapped and drawn before each session, and the client chooses a soft, natural finish or a sharper, more defined one. The pigment blend is matched to the client's existing hair. Most sessions take place over three to four visits spaced at least two weeks apart. The studio describes results as lasting five or more years and suggests a touch-up every couple of years.

Clients can book a free consultation, either virtually or in person. It is recommended but not required. For brows, the work is a two-step process with a touch-up around six to eight weeks. SMP pricing depends on how much hair loss there is, and the consultation is where an accurate quote is given. Financing is available with zero impact on credit and as low as 0% APR, through payment plans provided by Cherry, a buy now pay later company. Zero percent options depend on eligibility, and interest-bearing plans have APRs as low as 5.99%.

Pigments are custom-blended and disposable needles are used, following strict hygiene protocols. A topical numbing cream is applied before brow work.
