Miss Lilly's Electrolysis is a hair removal practice in Cincinnati, run by Lilly, a Cosmetic Therapist and Electrologist, from a room inside the Ageless Vitality Center. The practice focuses on electrolysis, which the business describes as the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. Its own site also presents electrolysis as the only truly permanent option, unlike tweezing, waxing or laser.
Every new client starts with a one-hour consultation. The visit covers how electrolysis works, whether the client is a good candidate, and includes fifteen minutes of treatment. Lilly offers these consultations in person to go over the options before any work begins. Lilly then chooses between electrolysis, thermolysis and the blend method after weighing each client's skin and hair.
During treatment, a fine probe is inserted into each hair follicle and energy is applied to disrupt hair growth. Because hair grows in cycles, several sessions are needed for lasting results. Redness and swelling afterward are described as normal and usually fade after the appointment, though sensitive skin may react more. The skin is soothed at the end of each session to support healing.
Sessions are sold by length, so shorter visits suit small areas such as the upper lip, chin and eyebrows, while longer ones suit arms, legs and the bikini area. General appointments cover the face, breasts, underarms, legs, arms and hair outside the bikini line. Urogenital appointments cover the area inside the bikini line. Both are offered to clients of any gender. The number of treatments needed depends on hair amount and coarseness, growth cycle, previous removal methods and skin tolerance.
Clients are asked to arrive well hydrated, and hairs need to be long enough to be grasped with tweezers before treatment. A card must be kept on file. Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled without a fee given at least 24 hours notice. Late cancellations are charged $25 for fifteen and thirty minute sessions and $35 for forty-five and sixty minute sessions, billed when the client reschedules. Certain medical conditions, implants and life stages, including pregnancy, breastfeeding and puberty, rule out treatment, so the consultation checks candidacy first.
Lilly's stated priority is keeping clients comfortable and safe, and the method is picked for each client's own skin and hair.
Testimonials on the site describe the space as clean and comfortable.
