About

Miranda Wax & Laser is located at 1835 N 66th Ave in Hollywood, Florida, and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. The business started with waxing and grew to include laser hair removal and laser tattoo removal.

Laser hair removal is performed with the SPLENDOR X, which the business describes as a medical-grade laser combining Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths in adjustable proportions. The business says the device has a large treatment area and dual cooling for comfort. Many clients begin with a series of six sessions and return once or twice a year for maintenance as needed, and the FAQ notes that most clients complete an initial series of six to eight sessions; results vary. Tattoo and permanent makeup removal uses the Astanza Trinity, which the business describes as an FDA-cleared nanosecond laser with three wavelengths. A $50 deposit is required for tattoo removal, and financing is available.

Each laser treatment begins with a complimentary consultation over WhatsApp, held before any booking is made. Bookings are placed online and stay unconfirmed until a deposit is received. The deposit is kept if an appointment is cancelled, if the client does not attend, or if a client arrives too late for the treatment to be carried out in full. It is also kept for any change requested with less than 24 hours' notice. An appointment can be moved if at least 24 hours' notice is given. Laser hair removal and tattoo removal are not carried out for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have recently tanned, have open or irritated skin, or have an active infection or a cold sore. Laser hair removal is also unavailable to anyone with sunburn. Children under 12 cannot enter the studio.

Laser services begin with a free WhatsApp consultation, and the owner aims for clients to feel comfortable, cared for and confident during appointments.
