The natural lashes are never cut. Classic extensions go on one-to-one, while volume sets place three or more fine extensions on each natural lash. When natural lashes have grown out at a fill, the extensions on those lashes come off first and new ones are applied. Fills are recommended every two to three weeks, and the business says that with proper care a set can last several weeks before it needs a touch-up. It also notes that natural lashes shed roughly 20 to 30 percent every two weeks.

The extensions are synthetic and go through a double heat-roll process. The studios sell aftercare products, including a lash cleanser and makeup remover pads.
