Estimated appointment lengths run from about 1 to 2 hours for detangling and 1.5 to 2 hours for interlocking, up to 4 to 8 hours for box braids. Every twist installation comes with detailed aftercare instructions.
Children are welcome from around age 3 or 4, depending on hair length and their ability to sit still. Parents can bring tablets, phones, snacks and toys, and stylists take frequent breaks. Alopecia coverup is a styling service for concealing thinning, bald patches or hair loss; it uses low-tension techniques, starts with a personalized consultation, and can be booked as a private, discreet appointment. Insurance assistance may be available for eligible alopecia services, including cranial prosthesis coverage, if the client brings a prescription.
