Michelle's Hidden Spa

The spa is located in Fortville, on the corner where State Road 13 meets Broadway, and occupies a residential-style building with blue shutters. Parking is offered right out front or in the adjoining lot. Reaching the entrance involves two steps, and the spa notes that the space is not wheelchair accessible. All services are scheduled in advance online through the Book Now button, and walk-in visits are not taken. Hours are 11 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday and 11 AM to 7 PM on Saturday, with Sundays closed. Anyone with questions about a treatment, or who is unsure which service to choose, is asked to send an email before booking.

Michelle Duncan owns the spa and does all of the treatments herself. Each facial begins with a skin consultation and analysis, and the treatment is customized at every visit. Facials may include dermaplaning, extractions, microcurrent, LED light, ozone therapy, cosmetic needling or nano infusion, and some include lymphatic drainage techniques. Michelle combines lifting facial massage with bodywork in her facials. The spa uses Environ skincare, which it describes as medical grade, and each facial includes a travel kit with Environ samples. A Contaire Magnesium Oil ritual for the neck, shoulders, back and scalp is available only with facials.

Massage sessions are customized on the day and are intentional and restorative rather than sports-based. Deeper pressure is used when appropriate. Sessions may include cupping, assisted stretching, heated or cold massage gun therapy and trigger point therapy, and the work often addresses neck and shoulder tension, back discomfort, sciatica-related tightness, frozen shoulder and tension headaches. Tables are heated memory foam pillow top, and massages include warm towels, aromatherapy, LED red light panels and an eye massager. Clients can request customized music, including their own playlists. Draping is required throughout the massage. The spa does not offer manual lymphatic drainage massage or microdermabrasion.

Children can receive facials, and a parent or guardian may stay in the treatment room. Companions can wait in the lobby during a service. Clients are asked to complete the New Client Intake Form in advance from the link in their confirmation email, and changes to bookings are made through the link in that confirmation email or text, not by email. Cancellation and no-show fees apply, and the spa's booking site has the current details. Gift cards and gift certificates are sold, and all sales are final with no returns.

The spa describes its approach as holistic and heart-centered, with a focus on long-term skin health and avoiding unnecessary inflammation. It holds that skin health and healing begin from within.
