MichaStyled Her offers braided, locked, twisted and sewn-in styles in Detroit. Services are grouped into braids, locs, twists and sew-ins, and prices range from about $55 to $180 depending on the style and size.

To book, clients use the online booking site and pay a non-refundable $10 deposit to confirm the appointment. After a booking comes in, the stylist texts to collect the deposit and confirm the length, size and day. Clients can also call 810-299-8077.

Braid pricing starts from a mid-back baseline. Longer hair adds a fee by length: $10 extra for butt length, $15 for thigh length, $20 for knee length, and $25 for ankle length. On Freestyle Fulani Braids, ankle length costs $30 extra instead. Some styles have no fixed rate and are quoted per job, including Fulani recreation sets based on a photo the client provides and custom stitch braid designs.

The studio is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Sundays. Visit times run long on many styles, from about two and a half hours for freestyle Fulani and knotless braids up to about eight and three-quarter hours for butt-length butterfly locs.
