Every new client starts with a free consultation. The visit explains how electrolysis works, leaves time for questions, reviews any hair removal methods the client has tried before, and ends with a recommended treatment plan and appointment schedule. Electrolysis is delivered as a series, so the number of sessions varies from person to person and the plan is customized at that first visit. A topical anesthetic can be recommended for clients who are concerned about pain.
Electrolysis hair removal can be done on brows, ears, hairline, upper lip, chin, stomach, bikini area, arms, underarms, breast area and legs, and skin with tattoos can also be treated. It is not advised for the nose, inside the nostrils or inside the ear canals. Appointments of up to 15 minutes cost $55, 30 minutes cost $85, 45 minutes cost $100 and 60 minutes cost $130.
Before a visit, clients are asked not to shave for two to three days so the hair is long enough to grip with tweezers, to stay hydrated, to skip caffeine that day, to remove makeup before face treatments, and to avoid sun for 48 hours, since sunburned skin cannot be treated. Once a series has started, treated areas should not be waxed or tweezed, though shaving or cutting between sessions is fine. Skin may look red and slightly puffy afterward, usually for an hour or two. Clients are asked to avoid sun, workouts, pools, saunas and hot tubs for at least 48 hours, may use aloe gel for the first three to four days, and should keep makeup and deodorant off the treated area for 24 hours and avoid washing or alcohol-based products for one to two days.
Cancellations and rescheduling need at least 24 hours notice. No-shows and shorter-notice cancellations are charged the full session price. Late arrivals are charged the full appointment price, and the treatment may be shortened to make time for the next client.
Built around a free consultation that explains the full process and answers questions before any treatment, so clients can feel comfortable with a customized plan.
