Co-founded in 2008 by Karina Restrepo and Justin Mitchell, the salon has operated from its Rittenhouse Square address for eighteen years. It describes itself as the only Colombian botanica in the Americas and as the first organic nail spa in America, and says it has been named Best of Philly four times.

The salon's botanical ingredients and treatment methods are sourced in Colombia, drawing on the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta range and the Caribbean shoreline, and the selection changes every month. According to the salon, its manicures and pedicures are organic and non-toxic. Services run from a 25-minute polish-free manicure up to a 110-minute combined manicure and pedicure. Named sessions include Dos Palmas and Cuatro Manos, where two manicurists work on a client at the same time.

Waxing is organized around how long it has been since a client's last visit. Brazilian Suave suits first-timers or clients more than five weeks out, and Brazilian Virgin is for first-time clients or those more than six weeks out; it includes a 15-minute question-and-answer session with Karina Restrepo. Shorter follow-up and members-only Brazilian visits serve regulars on a five-week cycle. Brazilian and bikini waxing uses soy-based wax, and hair should be at least 1/8 inch long.

Booking is by text message at (215) 608-1323, and the salon is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. A valid credit card on file secures each appointment and is charged 24 hours before the service. Arriving 5 to 10 minutes late may shorten the service without a refund for the lost time, and arriving 10 to 15 minutes late may mean the appointment cannot be served. Changes made at least 24 hours ahead avoid charges. For individual appointments booked Tuesday to Friday, later changes carry a percentage of the cost, rising to the full charge within two hours or for a no-show. Saturday appointments must be changed by 6:00 PM on the Thursday before.

Groups of three or more need one person to pay a 20% deposit at booking, and a 20% gratuity is added to each group service. Groups of four to twelve guests may also pay a hosting fee of $25 per 30 minutes. Gel polish must be removed before group members arrive, as gel removal is not offered for groups. The salon says a portion of each appointment supports the Semilla Giving Project, which aims to help indigenous children in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
