Meridian Day Spa

The spa occupies a facility of roughly 8,000 square feet with saunas, steam rooms, lounges and jacuzzis. According to the salon, its service prices include use of the facility, and it describes those prices as low.

Meridian fusion massage is planned with a therapist before the session starts, so the work can be shaped to each client. It is offered in 25, 50 and 80 minute lengths. Deep heat therapy places heated buckwheat packs on the body before a deep tissue massage, and hot stone massage uses heated stones both placed on the body and used as massage tools. Both of those come in 50 and 80 minute sessions.

Pre-natal massage is designed to ease common discomforts of pregnancy, including backaches, stiff neck or legs, cramps, headaches and swelling. It is a 50 minute session and is not offered during the first trimester, and the spa asks clients to speak with their doctor beforehand. Couples massage is for two people sharing a session, such as partners or friends. The spa has two couples massage rooms, assigned first come, first served, and couples sessions are arranged by asking the receptionist.

Booking requests do not guarantee an appointment; an email confirms whether it has been accepted. A major credit card is required to guarantee reservations. Changes or cancellations must be made by phone at least 24 hours ahead to avoid charges, and missed or late cancellations are charged in full. Appointments with more than one provider need separate requests. The spa is open Friday through Sunday, and on Monday, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and is closed Tuesday through Thursday.

Massage therapy is central to the spa, which describes it as essential to well-being. Sessions can be planned with the therapist in advance, particularly the customizable Meridian fusion massage.

The spa describes its setting as calm and restful.
