Merakilouskin was founded by Klarisse G Caranay, an esthetician who started the business in 2019, around the time she enrolled in esthetics school. Her route into skincare began with microblading brows before she moved into esthetics full time. The studio's facial menu starts with a $50 consultation, which looks at the type of acne a client has, lifestyle factors that may be contributing to breakouts, and a customized Face Reality Skincare regimen. From there, clients can book the Face Reality Acne Bootcamp, a maintenance facial, a dermaplaning facial that removes the outer layer of dead skin cells and fine peach fuzz, or a customized peel chosen around the client's main skin concerns. Beyond the peels and dermaplaning, the menu includes Merakilouskin's Signature Facial, which uses customized products, and the Glow Hydro Facial in Standard and Deluxe versions, described as a non-invasive resurfacing treatment that combines exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection. Packages of three hydro facials are available. The Perfect Derma Peel and BioRepeel CL3 are also offered. The lash menu is separate, with classic, hybrid/volume and mega volume sets, Korean keratin and Korean lash lift options, and tint-only service. The studio aims for a comfortable, relaxing visit for first-time and returning clients, with the goal of the best version of each client's skin rather than perfection. Aftercare is treated as part of the treatment, and products are recommended to suit a client's needs when a regimen isn't working well.

A private treatment room is set up to feel calm and comfortable, where clients are listened to and educated about their skin.
