Meraki Nail Studio is a one-person nail studio in Alameda, located in Suite 106 at 2515 Santa Clara Avenue. Stephanie Zarate owns the studio and does all of the services herself, so each appointment is with the same artist.
The menu covers dry gel manicures, a polish manicure, gel and polish pedicures, nail art sold in time blocks, a silk wrap repair for a broken or chipped nail, a gel removal add-on for gel applied elsewhere, and an IBX strengthening treatment. Most manicures and pedicures run from about an hour to an hour and a half, and nail art can be added to a gel manicure or pedicure in 15, 30, 40 or 60 minute blocks.
Pedicures use a hand-hammered stainless steel bowl and include cuticle care, callus treatment, a hot towel and a light massage. The studio's gel products are described as vegan, and polish options include Peacci lacquer, which is vegan and cruelty-free.
Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Thursday and Friday, and the studio is closed on weekends. Clients with questions can call the studio at (510) 821-2736.
Booking is firm: cancelling or not showing up within 24 hours of the start time results in the full service balance charged to the card on file. Clients have a 10-minute grace period, after which no design or add-ons can be accommodated, and arriving 15 minutes or more late counts as a no-show with the full booked service charged.
The studio focuses on education and ongoing learning, with the aim of keeping clients' natural nails as healthy as possible.
