Only hypoallergenic hard wax is used, and a new stick is taken for every application so that wax is never double dipped. Waxing is handled by a specialist whose focus is body work.

The studio suggests waiting two to three weeks after shaving before a wax, with the hair about a quarter inch long, and spacing waxes three to six weeks apart. The first wax, or a wax after shaving, is usually the most uncomfortable, and that eases with regular appointments.

After a visit, clients are advised to avoid hot baths, pools, saunas, tight clothing and workouts, and to skip make-up, deodorant and sexual activity for at least 24 hours, depending on the area waxed. Gentle exfoliation is suggested two to three times a week, beginning 48 hours after the wax.

The studio is open Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, and closed Monday, Tuesday and Sunday.
