Melissa's Salon LLC is run by owner Melissa Cummings, who became her own boss in 2013 after most of a career spent working with Aveda. She trained through an Aveda school in Michigan, moved to Florida in 2003, and spent a little over ten years at an Aveda salon there before going independent.

The salon focuses on hair only. Its menu ranges from quick add-ons such as bang trims and conditioning treatments through cuts and styling for men and women, shampoo and style with curls, color retouches, all-over color, foils and highlights, to keratin services. Listed prices are starting points, and appointment lengths run from short add-ons to about two and a half hours for full highlights with a cut and style.

The salon is open Tuesday through Friday and closed on Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Owner Melissa Cummings values the relationships and trust built with clients over the years, and clients can send her a question through the message form on the contact page.
