Nelson's background covers both makeup and dance. She has worked as a professional makeup artist and instructor for 20 years and as a model and stylist in fashion for over 20 years, and has performed and taught dance for over 15 years, including TV appearances, nightclub work and international workshops. The business says it is a member of Weddings of Distinction, an organization of experienced wedding vendors.

For weddings, the business offers hair and makeup for the bride, the wedding party and others. Wedding makeup can be applied by airbrush or traditionally, using natural, moderate or heavy coverage foundations. A pre-do trial of hair and makeup, taking one to two hours, lets clients plan a look before the day. Wedding party services can be done on the day at the bride's location, or at the North Park studio for a bride only or a small party. Studio hair and makeup starts at $225-275, makeup only at $135-165 and hair only at $135-175. On-location work has a $350 minimum plus travel, and appointments starting before 8 a.m. add 20-25% to the fee.

Classes include makeup workshops of about two hours that cover contouring, blending and application across several looks. They can be taken alone or with a friend, in the studio, on location or over Zoom. Belly dance classes run from beginner through advanced, online and in person, with private lessons also available. First dance lessons are private, low-key sessions shaped around each couple's experience, usually four to six one-hour classes at $65 each. Couples of every experience level are welcome, including LGBT couples, and most first dance clients are nervous beginners who think they cannot dance.

Booking requires a signed contract and a 50% retainer to reserve a date, with the final balance due within three weeks of the event. Smaller parties may pay the balance in cash on the day. Payment is also accepted by card, check, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. The business sells its own cosmetics line, including several foundation formulas, and the Skin Solutions line of at-home skincare.

Makeup is aimed at helping the client look well rather than making the makeup stand out, with a relaxed, no-pressure approach to products. Belly dance and first dance teaching focus on technique and clear, step-by-step breakdowns.
