MelDoesWax is run by Melissa Martinez from a private space inside Yocasta Nails on Route 9W in Haverstraw. Every appointment is one-on-one, so each visit is handled by the same person from start to finish.

About

The menu is grouped into brows, face, lashes and body waxing. Face services can be booked one area at a time or as a full face package that covers brows, lip, nose, chin, cheeks, sideburns, forehead and neck. Body waxing runs from small areas such as underarms and the stomach to full arms, legs and back.

Mapping matches the shape of the brows to the features of the face before tinting them, while lamination lifts and sets the hairs and can be done without waxing, with waxing added for a fee. The lamination, tint and wax combination covers all three steps in one visit.

The studio is open Monday afternoons and Thursday through Saturday, and it is closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Clients who cannot attend should let the business know as soon as possible so the appointment can be moved.

Services are kept straightforward and each appointment is given the business's full attention.
