Megan Berven Makeup is run by owner Megan Berven from a studio at 51st and Harvard inside the SpiritBank building in Tulsa. The work centers on bridal and special event makeup, with facials and brow appointments also offered.

Wedding options include a Bombshell Bride package at $400, which covers a bridal makeup preview, wedding day makeup, false eyelashes, a luxury skin prep or mini facial, and a touch-up kit. Bridesmaids, mothers, family members and special guests can book Bridal Party makeup at $130 per person, which includes full wedding day application, false lashes, skin prep and a lip touch-up kit. A trial run before booking a wedding costs $200. Brides receive a touch-up kit with their package and can upgrade it.

For weddings away from the studio, a Bride Only On-Location package is offered at a half-day rate of $500. Travel to venues within 15 miles is free when at least three services are booked; beyond that, the fee is $0.73 per mile, round trip counted. Tolls, parking and valet fees are paid by the client. On-location weddings require a minimum of three adult services. Weddings outside the Tulsa area with a start time before 8:00 am need safe hotel accommodations. Destination weddings have been booked, including one in Cabo San Lucas, and travel and lodging fees may apply for locations more than two hours away.

Additional fees include $100 per extra artist when more artists are hired for a bridal party, $50 when services must move to another location such as from a hotel to a venue, $50 for each hour worked before 8:00 am, and $100 an hour for staying on location for touch-ups after all makeup is complete. Only one wedding is taken per day. In-studio appointments can be booked up to 120 days ahead, and weddings should be booked as soon as the date and venue are secured. Bride-only in-studio appointments require a retainer of 50% of the total. The final wedding payment is due 30 days before the wedding day, and payment plans are available. Accepted payments include cash, Venmo, CashApp and credit or debit cards, with wedding payments made by invoice.

Special event appointments are planned for 90 minutes, and wedding appointments are planned for 90 minutes for the bride and one hour for each other person. For facial and brow appointments, a card is kept on file; a no-show costs $60 and a cancellation within 48 hours costs $25. Brushes are hand washed after each use, handles are disinfected each time, and the stainless steel palette is sanitized between clients.

Skin is prepared before every makeup application, with the preparation tailored to each client. The aim is a calm, elevated appointment in which clients feel pampered, relaxed and confident.
