Meg's Mane Squeeze operates from inside The Color Bar in Newark, Delaware, and is run by independent hairstylist Megan Goers. Pricing is set by hair length and density rather than by gender or hair texture.

About

Blonding is offered in four tiers. The Mini ($150, about 90 minutes) uses targeted foils on face-framing and part-line areas. The Partial ($250, about 150 minutes) uses foil or balayage on the crown, sides and face frame. The Full ($350, about 210 minutes) is full-head foil or high-impact balayage. Ultimate Transformation ($400 and up, about 240 minutes) is for first-time blonding or total transformations. Every blonding tier includes a Metal Detox treatment, a K18 Molecular Repair treatment, a custom gloss or toner, and a professional blowout or signature curl-diffuse. The salon describes its blonding and hair care as high-integrity.

Color services include all-over color, root color with styling, express root touch-ups (a 30-minute wash-and-go without a blowout), gloss and toner refreshes, and reverse balayage, which adds depth to hair that has been brightened too much. Haircuts are grouped as short, medium, and long or thick density, with three levels in each: Dry Refresh for existing clients, Wash & Style, and The Works, which is recommended for new clients and includes a detox, a moisture treatment, a precision cut, and product and styling education. Bangs and quick trims are available as a 20-minute dry-cut for existing clients.

Blonding, color and haircut appointments are all-inclusive and include a consultation and a blowdry and styling lesson unless otherwise stated. Each visit includes an explanation of the reasons behind the look and how to recreate it at home. A valid card is needed to reserve, but nothing is charged at booking. Cancellations within 72 hours of an appointment and no-shows may be charged 50% of the scheduled service total. Buy Now, Pay Later financing is available for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Gift cards are sold through the booking website.

Each look is planned around the client's goals and lifestyle, with healthy hair and safe blonding as the priority, and clients are taught how to recreate the finish at home.
