Medwigs is a Fullerton studio on West Orangethorpe Avenue that has been helping people with hair loss for more than 40 years. The owner, Sarah, handles every client visit herself, so each person works directly with the owner from start to finish.

The studio fits full wigs customized to match a client's natural look, which is the focus for chemotherapy patients. Toppers are partial wigs for people with alopecia, blended so the coverage looks natural. Toppers are grouped by the beginning, middle and advanced stage of hair loss, and come in human hair and HD models in styles including easiPart, easiCrown and Top Wave.

Medical wigs are hair systems meant for longer-term hair replacement without hair restoration surgery. Because they are fitted for a specific need, they are available through consultation only, by phone. Medwigs also covers the medical wig caps themselves, offered in single and double layer Swiss lace, silicone, polyurethane and metal-stay options.

The business says it carries only high-quality wigs and that the owner personally selects each one. Lines carried include Ellen Wille, ESTETICA, Defiant, Smart Lace, Professionnel Heat and Human Hairs. For insurance claims, the studio will provide an invoice noting a cranial prosthesis and its tax ID number when a client asks.
