Medusa Ink Studios, known simply as Medusa, is a female-owned tattoo and beauty enhancement studio at 10919 Miami St. in Winfield, Indiana. Under one roof it brings together tattooing, brows, permanent makeup, lashes, piercings, permanent jewelry, tooth gems, waxing, makeup for events and facials, with a team of tattoo artists, permanent makeup artists, piercers and an esthetician.

Custom tattoo quotes are requested by email at bookings@medusainkstudio.com with the design attached along with the exact placement. Custom inspiration and placement can also be sent by Square Messaging at (833) 887-3511 when booking. Custom work is priced at an hourly rate of $150 with an $85 shop minimum, and the final set price depends on the time the artist needs. Flash sheet designs are pre-drawn by the artists, change often and start at $85. A tattoo consultation costs $30 and takes 30 minutes, with reference pictures requested, and a tattoo touch-up costs $20 when booked with the original artist four to six weeks after the first session. Hours are Monday 10 to 5, Tuesday and Wednesday 10 to 3, Thursday and Friday 10 to 8, Saturday 9 to 3, and closed Sunday.

Permanent makeup services include lip blushing, powder and micro brows, eyeliner, lash line enhancement, cheek blush, faux freckles and scalp PMU. A permanent makeup consultation is $25 and lasts 20 minutes. Brow correction addresses previously done permanent brows that have unwanted color, uneven shape, migration or oversaturation, starting at $650 for the first appointment; results cannot be guaranteed when working over old work because each case differs. The studio also teaches permanent makeup courses covering lip blushing, powder brow and microblading over two full days, taught one on one and including a professional kit with product for 20 or more clients, a training manual, blood-borne pathogen certification and a certificate. A lash extension training course is listed at $2,000 for 5 hours with a certificate of completion.

Cancellations need at least 48 hours notice. Same-day permanent makeup cancellations are charged the full service total, and permanent makeup cancellation fees become credit toward future bookings only if rebooked within 30 days with at least 24 hours notice. Tattoo cancellation fees depend on the time booked, size, placement and intricacy and cannot be applied to future reservations. A no-call, no-show for a complimentary touch-up forfeits that touch-up and later touch-up bookings are charged. Nostril piercing clients must be 16 or older, and piercing check-ups are recommended four to six weeks after a piercing, with an earlier visit available if swelling persists.

According to the studio, its work centers on precision, creativity and individuality, pairing edgy styling with polished technique. Clients are invited to pursue changes to their appearance in ways that suit them.
