Marshall Hair Salon opened in October 2004. Owners Dean and Beth Marshall bought the building that year. It is more than 150 years old and was a private residence until it was converted to commercial use in the 1980s. It is more than 150 years old and was a private residence until it was converted to commercial use in the 1980s. What began as a single-stylist operation has grown into a salon with several stylists and nail technicians.

The salon sits a short walk from many clients' homes and offices, set back from the busier traffic of Main Street. Clients can park behind the building, and the front entrance has a handicap accessible ramp. Stylists are encouraged to keep up their education through continuing education courses. The salon describes its team as friendly, knowledgeable and experienced, and says each of its stylists has at least 30 years in the industry.

Services run from children's and student cuts to all-over color, highlights, fantasy colors, perms, smoothing treatments, braids, upstyles and waxing. Fantasy color work begins with a consultation before a quote is given. Prices for bikini, underarm, leg and arm waxing are set by calling the salon. The salon is open seven days a week, with Sunday and Saturday hours in the morning and afternoon and weekday hours that vary by day.

Stylists are encouraged to continue their education, and the salon presents itself as a family-friendly place with a close-knit team.
