Electrolysis is the core service. A fine sterile disposable needle is placed into each hair follicle and a small electrical charge is released to destroy the tissue that grows the hair. The practice says electrolysis is the only method of permanent hair removal, and it is offered to men and women of all skin types on nearly any part of the body. How many sessions a client needs depends on their hair growth cycle, hair type, previous removal methods, hormones and genetics, so each client receives a personalized plan. Electrolysis can also be paired with IPL hair removal to reduce hair more efficiently and for longer.

Beyond hair removal, the practice offers IPL treatments for acne-prone skin, skin texture and fine lines, sun spots and other forms of hyperpigmentation, and spider veins, visible blood vessels and rosacea. Automated micro-needling, also called epidermal collagen induction therapy, is used for fine lines, wrinkles, acne and traumatic scars, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation and overall texture and tone. Results may show soon after a session and keep developing over as long as six months, and the usual plan is a series of two to three sessions six to eight weeks apart. Deeper concerns may call for six to eight sessions at six-week intervals. Microdermabrasion, brow and hairline shaping and correction, and lash and brow tinting round out the menu.

The practice is located at two offices, Newton at 1108 Beacon St. and Melrose at 163A West Emerson Street. Complimentary consultations are offered, and the practice says it receives referrals from local physicians. It describes its team as among the most experienced electrologists in the area.

Treatment plans are built around each client, with session counts and combinations of electrolysis and IPL set to suit individual hair growth patterns and history.
