Mari's Goddess Effects, also known as MGE, works from two Illinois locations: 1133 Oak St in North Aurora and 260 Fernwood Rd in Oswego. Visits are by appointment. The listed hours for Mari are Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to 2pm, and bookings outside those hours are possible for an additional charge. Brow work is a major part of the menu. Options include microblading for defined, hair-like strokes; microfeathering, which fills gaps while following the client's own brow shape; combre brows with hair-like front strokes and tail shading; Goddess Brow, which uses manual strokes and manual shading throughout; and HD ombre and European powdered brows. HD ombre is offered in Light, Medium and Extreme shading levels. Nano machine microblading is available for oily and dark skin, and the business says it causes less skin trauma than standard microblading and typically holds color for two or more years after the touch-up. Advanced aesthetics include needle-free Hyaluron Pen treatments for lip and facial fillers and for fat dissolve on areas such as the abdomen, love handles, arms, thighs and chin. Fibroblast plasma pen skin tightening is offered for concerns like eyelid and neck wrinkles, stretch marks, scars, skin tags and moles. Other services include tattoo removal by salt and saline system or plasma pen, LED teeth whitening, tooth gems, cupping body contouring, scalp micropigmentation, semi-permanent foundation and concealer, and tiny tattoos and beauty marks.

The studio also teaches courses in permanent makeup and aesthetics, with monthly dates and flexible one-on-one dates on request. Beginners microblading training is listed at $3,500 with a sale price of $2,000, and the brow permanent makeup course is half online and half in person. Course deposits are $500 for permanent makeup courses and $250 for other courses, and students need a blood-borne pathogens certification to work on live models.
