ManeSpace is built around independent artists who work for themselves. Members rent space here to run their own businesses, and the business says it has gathered barbers, colorists and stylists in one place.

Flex membership lets a member rent a chair or studio by the hour or for a full day. Flex members can reserve dates up to three months ahead, first come, first served, during operating hours of 10am to 9pm, seven days a week. Spaces come with towels and capes, full-time staff, dryers and heat lamps, storage, hot and iced drinks, and fast WiFi.

Resident membership holds the same space every week on the days a member picks. It is offered for one to four days a week, which works out to 4, 8, 12 or 16 days a month. Rates are flat monthly amounts based on a four-week month, so a fifth week carries no extra charge. There is no long-term commitment, billing is monthly, and residents get secure door access and dedicated storage. Outside their resident days, residents can book extra time by the hour or day, with access from 6am to 11pm.

Prospective members can book a tour through the website. Applications are reviewed by the team before a new member is accepted. Members manage bookings through the ManeSpace App, where they can book and cancel spaces and view invoices.

For clients who want a stylist rather than a space, the business says clients can describe what they need and it will match them with a stylist.

Event spaces can be reserved for editor events, product launches, branded events and product testing, either as a single private studio or as a full floor. Event operating hours are 10am to 8pm. Add-on services include a freight elevator, catering, extended hours, stylists for hire and on-site third-party production. Spaces include hot and cold drinks, full-time staff, hair dryers, a gender-neutral bathroom, unlimited towels and capes, and laundering service. Clients include brands and public relations agencies of all sizes.

Members are independent artists who run their own businesses rather than working as employees.

Spaces include warm lounges and privately decorated studios, and the business says it puts considerable care into their design.
