Mananatura

Mananatura is a skin care business led by licensed esthetician Mandi Gillispie. It offers facials, chemical peels, brow services and lash services from its studio at 435 W Diversey Pkwy in Chicago.

Facial treatments combine modern skin science with plant-based botanicals, herbal remedies, aromatherapy and sound. The business describes its experience as personalized, high-touch and holistic, and treatments are tailored to each client's needs.

The facial menu moves from an introductory facial for new clients to longer bespoke sessions. The Seed, at $180, is a one-hour introductory facial that opens with an in-depth consultation and skin analysis, then a 45-minute hydrating facial and a customized plan with home-care recommendations. The Alchemist, at $245, is a 90-minute bespoke facial that uses tools and techniques chosen for the skin on the day, with a triple cleanse, extractions if needed, two customized masks, scalp and facial massage and finishing products. The Empress, at $325, runs two hours or longer and adds nano-infusion, LED therapy with facial gua sha, a hot oil scalp massage and a hydrating hand treatment.

The Catalyst is a 75-minute chemical peel at $210 for acne-prone, aging or sun-damaged skin, and it includes a consultation and skin assessment. New clients must complete an intake form that is reviewed before the peel is approved. A series of treatments with home care may be recommended to reach the desired results.

Brow services include waxing, waxing with tint, and brow lamination, which reshapes brow hair into a fuller, lifted shape; lamination results typically last six to eight weeks. Lash lifts curl and lift natural lashes, with an option to add a temporary tint, and results typically last eight to ten weeks. The studio is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, and is closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday.
