Major League Haircuts is a family owned and operated salon. It is on the second floor of the Uptown Maitland building, across from Kappy's subs. Parking is in the garage on Sybelia Parkway, in the yellow spaces marked My Salon Suites. Appointments are booked through the website.
The room has brick-lined walls and sports memorabilia, giving it an old-school feel. Each styling station has its own TV.
Services are offered as packages. The Signature Cut includes a precision cut, shampoo and a neck and shoulder massage. The Home Run adds a tea tree scalp massage and a beverage of choice (beer, wine or soda). The Grand Slam also includes a hot steamed towel. Every service finishes with a neck and shoulder massage, and a complementary neck trim is included between haircuts.
Children have their own options, including the Jr Signature Cut, Jr Home Run and Jr Grand Slam for boys and girls aged 12 and under. Wednesday is kids day, with $2.00 off the Jr Signature Cut. Baby's First Haircut is priced at $20 and comes with a fire truck chair, a lock of hair, a certificate and a photo. Blow dry and styling are by appointment only, and length charges may apply to children's cuts.
Military, police, firefighters and seniors receive a $5.00 discount every day.
