Maison de Wigs has its showroom in the Village area of Alderwood Mall, where the indoor and outdoor sections meet, directly across from Wishes. Parking is near The Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Chang's, and the entrance is reached by walking toward Gene Juarez Salon & Spa. The shop also goes by Maison de Wigs & Hair Toppers. The shop describes itself as one of the best wig and hair topper shops in the Seattle area.

The range covers human hair and synthetic options in classic and premium wigs, human hair toppers, medical wigs and wigs for men. Beyond full wigs, the shop sells halo extensions, clip-in extensions, clip-in ponytails, frontal hairline toppers, hats and beanies, scrunchies, and wig tools and hair care sets. The clips have grips on the inner side, which are meant to be gentle on fine hair.

Consultations are aimed at clients experiencing hair loss. The visit takes 30 minutes and happens in a private consultation and try-on room, where clients can try a range of styles, colors and cap constructions. Installation and a hair styling service are also available. Appointments are recommended, though walk-ins are welcome.

The consultation fee is applied to a purchase made the same day. If it is used toward a later purchase, it is issued as store credit. Consultation fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. The shop asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and missed or late-cancelled appointments forfeit the fee. The shop lists weekday and Saturday hours from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Sunday hours from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
