About

Maintenance Bar was founded in 2020 by Megan Bedker, an aesthetic nurse practitioner who started the practice after seeing patients leave aesthetic clinics overfilled and overtreated. The Seattle clinic is in the SODO area, inside the Urban WorkLofts building south of downtown, and the Puyallup clinic is in downtown Puyallup. Services range from injectables and fillers to laser, microneedling, peptide therapy and PRP hair restoration.

Each visit starts with a consultation. Anti-aging consultations take about 45 minutes and include evaluating the skin at rest and in motion, and anti-aging pricing is shared at that visit because it depends on the treatment type and number of sessions. Facial contouring begins with a structural assessment of bone structure, volume, skin quality and symmetry that takes 30 to 45 minutes. Hair restoration consultations take about 30 minutes, and clients are asked to bring any hair products or medications they use. Topical numbing cream is applied before filler injections, and the business may photograph the under-eye area for planning and progress tracking.

Clients are assigned a consistent provider across visits. Botox and filler can be done in the same appointment, and filler can be combined with other filler treatments on the same day. A follow-up is usually scheduled about two weeks after Botox and about four weeks after cheek filler.

Memberships spread out regular treatment. The Low Maintenance Member is 79 dollars a month and includes $1 off per unit of Botox or Dysport and $199 Diamond Glow Facials. The High Maintenance Member is 149 dollars a month and includes 10% off injectables, skin treatments and skincare. Skin Bar Society is a one-time annual fee of 4,999 dollars that includes 500 credits for the year, each worth 10 dollars and usable across skin treatments, along with 10 to 20% off per treatment, 10% off skincare and a complimentary annual skin strategy consult. The business describes Skin Bar Society as the first curated skin program of its kind in the Seattle area.

First-time clients receive 15% off their initial visit, excluding massage, lip flips and mini lip plumps. PatientFi offers financing with monthly payment plans, and according to the business, checking your options has no effect on your credit. Bookings can be made online, by phone or by email. The Seattle clinic takes appointments only, with some evening slots, offers free parking in the building's lot, and is reached by elevator to Suite 720. Its menu is the most complete of the two, covering energy-based skin tightening and resurfacing. CoolPeel, Deka CO2, Sofwave, Virtue RF, The Ultimate Duo and DiamondGlow are available only at this location. The Puyallup clinic also works by appointment only, is set up for clients with mobility needs, and serves Pierce County and the South Sound. Services there include Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, fillers, Sculptra, microneedling, chemical peels, Skinvive, PRP hair restoration and peptide therapy.

Treatment plans are built after assessing anatomy, skin quality, collagen loss, facial balance and muscle movement, and combine injectables, collagen stimulation and skin treatments over a timeline set for each client. The business explains the reasoning behind each recommendation, and for anti-aging it sequences neurotoxins first, biostimulation second and resurfacing third instead of doing everything at once.
