About

Maidenhair Electrology is run by owner electrologist Bee Noll, who shares the studio with electrologist Robin Rosman. Both trained at the same electrology school, and each works independently while clients can book with either of them, or with both. If one is out of the office, the other will try to cover, though coverage cannot be guaranteed.

The practice treats hair on almost any part of the body, with the exception of the inside of the nostrils and ear canals, which Oregon law excludes. Hair can also be removed from tattooed skin, and a few test hairs are treated first to check the effect on the ink. Clients who have had laser hair removal can come in for pickup work, including hair that is too light for laser to catch. Presurgical hair removal is priced the same as a regular treatment.

Before a visit, clients are asked to drink plenty of fluids for two to three days, avoid retinol and glycolic acid for two days, skip makeup and deodorant on the treated area, and shave or trim as directed. Written aftercare covers keeping the area out of water and avoiding sweating for two days. Some medications and conditions call for a waiting period or a doctor's written authorization, including Retin-A, Botox, dermal fillers, Accutane, pacemakers and other implants, and eyelash or mole work. Radiation and chemotherapy patients are not treated, and clients should be up to date on covid vaccinations and free of flu-like symptoms at appointments.

Scheduling asks for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations and reschedules. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full appointment price, and missed consultations carry a $50 fee. Insurance accepted includes CareOregon, PacificSource (OHP and private), BCBS, Moda and Kaiser (private), and a monthly superbill is available for other private plans.

Takes a hair-positive approach and does not push clients to remove more hair than they want removed.

A small lobby and waiting area sits just inside the front door of the shared Be Abundant space.
