Color is built around MaiColor, a plant-based permanent color free of parabens, PPD and synthetic additives. It deposits color and cannot lighten hair. Clients can book an application-only service, where the color is applied and rinsed out at home after about three hours, or an in-salon treatment, where the color is heated for about an hour and rinsed at the salon. Mai NutraBoost, a nutrient infusion, can be added to a color service, and the salon recommends the LifeWave X39 patch and the Cellergize wellness supplement alongside hair therapy.

Haircut prices depend on length: short cuts above the shoulders run $40 to $75, medium cuts from the shoulders to the upper back run $85 to $100, and long cuts from mid back to waist run $125 to $150. Long or thick hair may carry additional charges. A blowout add-on is available for $25 to $50 and takes 15 to 30 minutes.

Mai Root Revival Scalp Therapy is a single session priced at $150 that includes a scalp consultation, scalp massage, scalp mask, infrared light therapy and a hydrating mist. The salon recommends several sessions for best results and offers packages on request. Clients who are highly sensitive to chemical dye can ask for a complimentary patch test, and clients with health concerns are advised to check with their doctor before using MaiColor.
