Magic Hour is the private studio of Amber Hollander, found at Studio #9 inside the Indie Salons building at 1685 S Colorado Blvd. in Denver. It is a one-stylist space, so every appointment is with Amber herself. The menu covers haircuts, color, bleach and tone, blowdry styling, consultations and treatment add-ons.

Every new or existing client can book a free 30-minute consultation. Haircuts run 45 minutes for standard short cuts or unstyled cuts, subject to approval, and 60 minutes for mid-length, long and shoulder-length cuts, with shampoo and style included. Both haircut lengths come with one complimentary 15-minute follow-up. Color appointments are listed with their timing, and booking a color with a cut takes $15 off. Extra color bowls beyond the standard amount are charged $35 each. Retouch bleach and tone must be within six weeks of a previous bleach and tone service, otherwise it may be priced as a global service, and global bleach and tone requires a haircut and a prior consultation.

Corrective color is offered for results that are unwanted because of an error or a miscommunication. It is billed hourly with a three-hour minimum and a $100 deposit, and it requires a prior consultation. Because the existing color has a major effect on the outcome, results cannot always be predicted or guaranteed.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours ahead are charged a flat 30% fee, though this is waived for cancellations due to illness, injury or a personal emergency. Hours are Monday 12 to 3, Tuesday and Thursday 11 to 8, Friday 10:30 to 7, Saturday 10 to 3, with Wednesday and Sunday closed.

Custom styling is built around each client, and education is offered to both clients and the stylist.
